Entering and maintaining a marriage is one of life's greatest commitments — yet few people learn beforehand what Islam truly says about it. This guide takes you from choosing a partner to a loving, lasting life together.

Choosing a partner according to the Sunnah, the pillars and conditions of the nikah (wali, witnesses, mahr), the mutual rights of husband and wife, conduct, communication and conflict resolution, a modest section on intimacy, and reconciliation and divorce — each topic accompanied by its source from the Quran or hadith.

Presented fairly: where the schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafiʿi, Hanbali) differ, this is explicitly stated. Plus audio du'as, a glossary, common mistakes, an FAQ, and a quiz to test yourself.

Are the sources included?
Yes. For almost every topic, the source is provided: a Quranic verse (surah:verse) with the Arabic text, or a hadith with the collection and number (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi). Everything has been separately reviewed for accuracy.
Which school of jurisprudence does the guide follow?
The guide is based on general Sunni practice and explicitly notes where the four schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafiʿi, Hanbali) differ — for example, regarding the wali or the mahr.
